Attended Holycroft Council School and Keighley Boys Grammar School. He was involved with the 15th Keighley (Utley) Scout group.He was also connected with the New Jerusalen Church in Devonshire St. Formerly employed as a costing clerk with the Airedale Dyeing Co.
He left a Widow and 1 child.
